Kenny′s Cafe Guide

Chat Issue Autumn 2007

Hi folks, its me, Kenny, again, reviewing the cafes in South Wales. I have visited over 50 cafes and I review my top three

Top of my list is Phil's which is situated in Bridgend Industrial Estate. This is where you can buy a Big Breakfast for £3.00. This consists of egg, bacon, sausage, black pudding, fried bread, toast, tea or coffee.

Next comes my old favourite Theo's where you get a mega Breakfast roll for £2.25. This is made up of egg, bacon, and sausage in a big roll. You can find Theo's off Mumbles Road, Swansea. Phil's has knocked Theo's off my top spot highlighting what an excellent meal one gets from Phil's

Finally, in third place is Norman's where you can buy a big tasty breakfast for £3.00. Normans is situated off the A48, near BJ's. In fact Norman's replaces BJ's for third spot!

Chat Issue Spring 2007

Hi, folks its that time again where I review the best Breakfast in South Wales!

Last time I nominated the best café as being Theo's, Mumbles Road, Swansea

I have now visited about 50 cafes′ and still the best is Theo's. This is situated in a lovely setting inside a church hall.

The next best is Trams which replaces BJ s′ café.

And finally in third place (having lost its second spot) is BJ′s.

I wish you all a Happy Easter and recommend that you treat yourself to a meal in the near future.

Chat Issue Winter 2006

I have visited over 15 cafes during the past year and I have been able to rate them because they are surprisingly so variable in the dishes that they provide.

coffee beans The best cafe is "Theo's" cafe, Mumbles road, Swansea where you get a lovely tasting roll (which includes Sausage, egg and bacon for the bargain price of £2.25).

The next best is "BJ′s" cafe on the A48 where you get a big breakfast for £4.20. This includes egg, bacon, sausage, mushrooms, beans, tomatoes, black pudding, fried bread, toast and tea.

In third spot is the "Food House" on Brynmenyn Industrial Estate where you get a mega breakfast roll for £2.50 (bacon, egg, sausage, black pudding, mushrooms, beans). This tastes lovely.

I decided not to rate the worst dishes but will update you further on my findings in the next edition of Caswell Chat.
