Christmas (0.39)

Ker-ching Ker-ching goes the shop till,
The sleigh bells ring,
It is the season of good will,
The shoppers are milling about with Anticipation and Cheer,
A little girl shouts look there is Rudolph the red nose Reindeer,
She is pointing to a shop with a Santa’s Grotto,

Elsewhere in a small street,
It is so festive how the neighbours greet,
Merry Christmas, merry Christmas to you to you they say
In the build up to the big day,
In a house there is a six year old boy,
He’s watching the televisions, adverts he wants every toy,
His mother listens to the radio,
She hears that old familiar tune,
He wonders what will be number one this year she’ll find
Out soon,

Christmas comes but once a year,
It is a time for giving a time to wrap up in wool and fur,
It is a time for eating,
A time for families
Time for meeting,
Whether you’re young and handy,
Or old and grey you are drawn into the special time.
