Garden Fete Summer 2007

Chat Issue Autumn 2007

Summer Fete

Well we had another lovely fete in the garden, the weather was perfect and there was a marvelous turn out. This time we had two volunteers to put in the stocks as you can see Gareth and Karl took quite a soaking; they were great sports, thanks to both of them. Suffice to say, patients and staff both had a lot of fun throwing wet sponges. I would just like to thank DaveF for his superb painting on our stocks, and it was brilliant well done DaveF.

There was book stalls, cake stalls, bric a brac, drinks stall, toy stall, and produce, there was guess the weight of Dale A/C, and name the teddy bear, all in all the patients seemed to really enjoy the day, many thanks to everyone for their generosity.

Terry′s Weather Report

I awoke this morning (Sunday, 9th September) to a really nice morning. There were short breaks of sunlight, a few patchy clouds but quite pleasant. As I left reception, I saw on the pavement a few early autumn leaves . There was just a short covering, but I thought to myself, "I think our summers starting to go!".

I then thought to myself I wonder how many people have said to themselves - "What summer!". We have seen a few water logged summer months!! We Are looking at another six months of wintery weather . So my recommendation is hurry and get your shopping done because I think the shops are going to run out of wellies!!
